Veterans and Patriots Pro-Troop Rally

March 14th was a beautiful day for the Pro-Troop Rally and Press Conference at the Veteran Memorial in Lincoln Park
before the Statehouse grand West entrance.

Rep. Liston was a key element in mobilizing veteran support in El Paso county. The Senate panel heard from two WWII veterans, one of whom fought at Bastogne. Generals, officers of various veterans organizations, and many individual patriots were grateful for the opportunity to respond to this call for support.

We gathered to stand proudly with Gulf War Veteran and State Senator Mike Kopp as he explained why all citizens of Colorado should support the troops and oppose the resolution that was later approved that day by the State, Military, and Veterans Affairs Committee on a 3-2 party-line vote to oppose sending more troops to fight in Iraq.
